We (our family, my brother, Melissa and my parents) just got home from the most amazing family vacation. We rented a house near Manson on Lake Chelan. We were on the water, with a pool/hot tub and had the best weather! We rented a boat for 3 of the days and a jet ski for one. Hudson was able to drive both and loved it. I think he was more comfortable going fast on the jet ski than I was. He informed us yesterday that he wants a boat for his birthday. He might have to settle for the promise of driving the boat again next year. We plan to go back next summer and might even rent the same house. It was perfect. For the first time in a long time I felt like I got a vacation (not a trip). My parents took the kids a lot of the time. John and I were able to sneak off to my favorite winery, Melissa and I visited the spa at Campbells, had lunch and of course visited the winery again, we spent a lot of time relaxing on the boat and I even was able to sleep in a few times. It was exactly how I wanted to end our summer.
