Tonight was a big milestone for Hudson. He had his first solid food. I knew that he was going to love it and that he was very ready for this next step. For the past few weeks he has been eyeing our food and reaching for it. His eyes would get really big when we would eat and then he would look disappointed when he didn't get any. I was right...he LOVED it!

Six Months
Today Hudson is six months old. I can't even believe how fast the time has gone. He changes so much and so fast. Lately it seems that it's going even faster. Every day he learns something new and his little personality shines through stronger. He loves to make things work, his favorite toy is an activity center with lots of lights and noise. He also loves books and singing songs. His favorite song is Itsy Bitsy Spider. I think I sing it 100+ times a day. He is working on crawling and is getting good at scooting backwards. He loves being social, meeting new people and seeing new things. We have his 6 month appointment tomorrow and I can't wait to see how much he weighs. I'm guessing 22 pounds.

Great grandpa Doug and Hudson
This weekend we went to Lopez island for John's annual family golf tournament. We took the ferry over on Friday afternoon and Hudson loved the ferry! He sat on the table and laughed out the window the whole time. When we got there we checked in to our hotel, then headed over to Aunt Tammy and Uncle Tom's for dinner. Hudson was able to meet his cousins and great grandpa. He loved meeting everyone and especially loved playing with Luke's truck. He thought that truck was the greatest thing ever...I guess I better get my boy a truck.

Pick me up mommy
Hudson's new skill is to reach up when he wants up. It's so cute! I will say do you want up and he will raise his hands and bounce with excitement. I can't believe all of the new things he is learning each day. I feel like he is growing up so fast. Sometimes it makes me sad when I think about him becoming a "big boy". I just have to remind myself to treasure every moment. Life goes by so fast...

Hudson trying to give hugs
Hudson had a play date with Madelyn, Camryn, Chloe and Hailey. We went over to Jamie's house and the babies all played and slept while we chatted. Hailey being the good big sister helped out and played with everyone. Hudson was so cute with the girls. He kept trying to give Madelyn hugs and kisses. He is so lucky to have so many little friends to grow up with.

Mommy and Hudson
Today we decided to test Hudson's new jogging stroller on the trail to Wills Tucker park. Hudson loved his new stroller because it allowed us to go off road on bumpy trails. He made the ahhhhh...sound over all the bumps and laughed! It's was so cute. When we got to the park he loved sitting in his stroller and watching all the big kids play. John and I enjoyed our lunch in the sun and then we headed home. Hudson fell asleep about half way home. It was a wonderful way to spend this beautiful Saturday afternoon.

Hudson getting lots of love!
Tonight was our last night here in Palm Springs. We had such an amazing ten days. Hudson was able to play with his cousins in the pool, listen to Dave play his guitar, cuddle with Aunt Kris and chill with Uncle Waco. He was definitely the center of attention. I was thrilled to be able to relax, chat and catch up on all of my scrapbooking. I'm proud to say that I'm actually up to date with it all now. I think I will need to come back in six months to catch up again.
Thank you Waco, Kris, Dave, Britni, Jenelle and Damon. We love you!
