Summer Update

We have had a fun packed and sunshine filled summer so far... with pool time, first trophies, ice cream, lunch in the city, mid day bubble baths, movies, birthday parties, late night card games, cold beer, Bennett's first Mariners game and I even had time to start getting ready for my next running adventure and relax with friends.  It's not even August yet...so I would say we are doing it right!

VBS

Hudson had an amazing week at Vacation Bible School. Yesterday they had a picnic and they brought in a petting zoo too!  So much fun!

Raspberry Picking

Jenelle and I took the boys and Bennett's friend Brock raspberry picking.  The boys picked so many raspberries!  We weren't sure we could eat them all...so we made fresh raspberry mojitos for the next few nights...brilliant!

Grayland Beach

This year we headed to Grayland Beach again, but this time we brought the Banks family along.  What a fun family adventure it was.  We rented yurts on the beach and the memories that the kids made were so amazing that I didn't mind the fact that we were covered in dirt head to toe!  We cooked our meals on the fire, swam in the ocean, flew kites, rode bikes, made forts, met new friends and watched the kids make memories to have for a lifetime.  We can't wait for next year!

Fourth of July

Our family has some fun traditions on the Fourth of July.  We meet the Banks and Tiroux families for the Bothell parade, come home for a nap/food prep and then head to someone's house to BBQ and the guys put on a fabulous fireworks show. This year Greg and Dana (Dustin's parents) and the have a fabulous yard for the kids to play in and plenty of room for the guys to go crazy with the fireworks. This year the show got a little crazy (a few of us almost caught on fire) but it was amazing!
