Brett and Melissa

The day After Thanksgiving we (our family, Brett, Melissa, my mom and my dad) headed to St. Nicks tree farm in Monroe to find our Christmas tree. We love St. Nicks, but last year they were sold out when we got there on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. So this year we went first things Friday morning. Yep...while everyone else was going crazy and standing in lane for black Friday we were freezing and finding the perfect Christmas tree. Hudson is finally old enough to enjoy the search. He loved running around in the maze of trees until he was too cold to move. We came home with a beautiful tree and I can't wait for him to help decorate it.

Thanksgiving

Papa and Bennett

This year Thanksgiving was special because we had Brett and Melissa here from Houston. They stayed with us and loved spending time with their nephews, and Hudson loved having more people around to play with. We were very busy while they were here. We saw Santa, cut down our Christmas tree, went shopping, celebrated Brett's birthday, went on the Santa train, the boys went to the Seahawks game and we had a lot of good food and wine. It was a great visit, but way too short.

Bennett One Month

Things we have learned about Bennett in one month...
He loves to be swaddled
He loves to cuddle
He only cries when he is hungry
He loves to eat
He is is an awesome sleeper
Hudson makes him smile
The car is his least favorite place to be
He will take a bottle
He will take a pacifier
These last two will make life a little easier for mommy and daddy.
We love him dearly and can't imagine life without him.
Hudson and Bennett are so lucky to be brothers!

Happy Halloween

Our first stop was grandma and grandpa Cowan's house.

Ready to go find his friends and go trick-or-treating!

My Boys!

Last night we went to the Bank's house for dinner and trick-or-treating. There were 7 kids, 5 girls and Hudson and Bennett. Someday I think my boys will be thrilled that most of my friends have girls. We had an early dinner and headed to trick-or-treat as soon as it was dark. Hudson missed out on Halloween last year because he was sick. It didn't take him long to catch on. Hailey was the leader of the group and Hudson was right behind her the whole night. Bennett slept in the Ergo carrier the whole time...such a good baby. On the way home Hudson couldn't stop talking about all the scary things. He needed to be reassured that they were just pretend. He is just like his mommy...not a big fan of scary costumes and decorations. Both kids are still asleep, so I guess the night wore them out. Now what do I do with all this candy...
