A Few For Fun...

Easter
We had a busy, but fun Easter. My parents were here and we started the morning at church, then to my grandpa's for brunch, home for naps and the then dinner with my parents. Hudson had his first candy and was a crazy man in the afternoon and crashed before his normal bedtime. I now know why I don't think kids should have candy...

14 Weeks
16 Weeks with Hudson
13 weeks now
I'm at 13 weeks and have 7 more weeks until we find out if we need to pull out all of Hudson's old things and wash or go shopping for pink! I'm WAY bigger at 13 weeks now than I was with Hudson at 16 weeks. I actually was almost convinced that I was having twins. Thanks to a very kind ultrasound tech who squeezed me in to her schedule I'm now relived to know there is only one baby in there.

Hudson Turns Two!

Hudson's 2nd birthday was a bit emotional for me. He is growing up so fast and soon he will be sharing his mommy (and daddy) with a new baby brother or sister. I feel so blessed to have such a happy, healthy and sweet little boy. All I want to do for the next five months is take it all in and cherish every moment that I have with him. I know that both of our lives are going to change drastically when the new baby arrives. Hudson is really growing up he is such a good helper and is going to be a fabulous big brother. He LOVES and when I say LOVES I really mean it...he LOVES babies. He loves to hold them, kiss, them and take care of them. I can't wait for his first moments of meeting his new baby brother or sister.
His party was exactly what I planned, relaxed and fun for Hudson. He had a blast playing with all of his friends, loved his cupcakes and really enjoyed opening his gifts. All in all it was a huge success.
Happy 2nd Birthday to my baby...at least he is my baby for another 5 months!

Is that a diaper bag?
http://www.amymichelle.com/chic/sweet-pea-bags.htm
Yes, it is a diaper bag and it is exactly what I have been looking for! I had just got to the point of not needing a diaper bag when I got pregnant. I had a vision of a fabulous bag that looked like a "grown up" bag, but could be a diaper bag too. After one google search my dream came true!

Happy Birthday Hudson & Sloan!
Today Hudson and his friend Sloan celebrated their 2nd birthdays at preschool. This is special because Sloan and Hudson have know each other since they were two weeks old. Sloan's mom and I met in the elevator on our way to our first parent/baby class at Evergreen. I love that they have know each other so long and love even more that these two just adore each other!

Fun on the slide with Uncle Brett
Last week Hudson and I took a trip to Houston to visit my brother and his wife. I was a little freaked out about a 5 hour flight with Hudson alone, but he did AWESOME! Hudson has flown a lot, but now that he is older, vocal and very mobile I thought it would be tough to keep him in a car seat for 5 hours on a plane. He slept half of the flight both ways. That left him just the right amount of time to eat and watch the Wiggles on his DVD player (that is a must for flights). We stayed at Brett and Melissa's house and Hudson loved playing in the backyard. I think one of the best moments was him playing with the hose while helping Melissa in the garden. We went to the Houston Zoo, ate really good food, enjoyed Brett's smoked ribs, went to an indoor play area, had A LOT of breakfast tacos (my favorite) and loved every minute of our trip. It was sad to leave, Hudson really loves his Aunt and Uncle...I wish they lived closer.
Hudson enjoying the hose in the backyard...so cute!
Hudson riding the kid powered train at Wildwood in Houston. We paid $10 to get in to a building full of amazing things to do. This is what Hudson did for the whole 2 hours!
