Happy Birthday to Me

Last week was my birthday and and it was filled with everything I love most.  The birthday weekend started with dinner with my two best friends.  I feel so blessed to have these ladies in my life.  We have been celebrating birthdays (and everything else for that matter) together for since high school.  Here is to many more!

Last Day of Preschool

Today was the last day of preschool.  Next year Hudson will stay at Kids at the Creek for pre-kindergarten.  I can't believe how fast time is going.  I'm so proud of what an amazing little boy Hudson has become, but he needs to slow down.  It feels like just yesterday he was starting the co-op preschool in diapers with only a handful of words in his vocabulary.  Now he is going on play dates without mommy and asking me so many grown up questions about the world around him.  He might be 4 and ready for pre-k, but he will always be my baby.

T Ball

Hudson is playing t ball for the second year and I think this year he really "gets it".  Last year was fun, but more of a learning experience for him.  Now he understands the concept and loves it!  He had is first game last weekend.  I can't get over how cute it is to watch.

Portland

Last weekend I packed the car with snacks, movies and everything that my boys need for two days of fun in Portland with the Banks family.  I'm not going to lie, I thought 2 days with 4 kids under 4 would be total craziness.  Boy was I wrong, we had the best time.  We played at the park, went for bike rides, went swimming, watched Rio, and the kiddos all got a long so well.  Of course each day ended in one big bath with a very wet bathroom floor. Mandy and I even had plenty of time to catch up and enjoy a few cocktails.  We can't wait to go back!

Grandma and Grandpa's Yard

Bennett loves to be outside.  He really loves to explore new places.  Lately when we go to John's parents house Hudson brings his bike and Bennett does some exploring.  We went to celebrate Greg and Doug's birthdays and it was a beautiful day to explore.

Swimmer

Hudson has been in swimming lesson since he was six months old.  It was one of the best decisions we made.  He loves the water, loves swimming, and can swim about 10 feet on his own.  We can't wait for the outdoor pool at our club to open!

Brothers

Bennett loves to follow Hudson while he rides his bike.  It's so cute listening to Bennett yell "Hudson wait" and Hudson respond "hurry up buddy"...nothing is better than brothers.

Sunny Day at the Zoo

We went to the Zoo a few days and ago, the weather was amazing, the kids feed the giraffes, we had a picnic and ended the day on the carousel...we had the perfect day.

Fun with Olivia

When you ask Bennett to name his family he says mommy, daddy, Hudson and Olivia!  Yep, apparently I he considers Olivia family... pretty cute.  Last week Shelbi watched Bennett for me so I could attend a Mother's Day celebration at Hudson's preschool.  He loved it!

Interview

After reading an interview my friend Alicia did with her daughter I decided to do the same with Hudson.  I'm going to try to ask both boys the same questions each year and see how the answers change over time.
