Happy 2nd Birthday Madelyn

Yesterday we celebrated Madelyn's 2nd birthday at Ella Bailey park in Magnolia. What a beautiful day for a birthday party! The park had a amazing view of the city. The kids all (except Hudson) loved the pinata. I'm not sure why, but Hudson wanted nothing to do with it. They ran around, ate lunch, had cupcakes, played with sidewalk chalk and everyone was wiped out and ready for a nap when they left. A perfect party!

Summer Fun

We have had some beautiful hot summer days lately. Hudson has been enjoying lunch on the deck, time in his pool and playing in his water table. I think his favorite part of this was being naked!

Helping Daddy

Last weekend Hudson helped daddy paint the baby's room. He loved everything about the process, the painting tape, the paint, and most of all showing everyone the baby's room. We painted it a nice bright/soft blue. John picked out the color and he did great...I LOVE IT! The room is blue and chocolate brown. We order bedding from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child. I love their bedding! We are close to finishing the room. I will post more pictures when we are done.

Our Last Trip to Spokane?

Last week we headed over to Spokane for what might have been our last visit. Yep, my parents have their house on the market and they are ready to move back over to this side of the mountains! I couldn't be more excited. It would be amazing if they could be here by the time the baby is born!

A (Big) Belly Update

Last week I had my 28 week appointment. I have gained 18 pounds and I measured at 31 weeks. As Dr. Keys was measuring my belly she said and I quote "oh wow, was Hudson a big baby? You are measuring about 3 weeks ahead. I would prepare for a a big one". Hudson was 8 lbs. 4 oz. (I know he doesn't look like it now), but he was a good sized baby, but not really big. I also passed my glucose test which I was very happy about. I can't imagine being on a restricted diet at the end of my pregnancy. I'm feeling like I have a lot to do. At this point in my pregnancy with Hudson he had a name, the room was done, the clothes were washed, diapers were bought, diaper bag was packed, and I was ready to go. I'm embarrassed to say that I have bought two shirts (6 month size) at the Nordstrom sale, have the bedding in a box and the paint hasn't made it past the garage. So the goal for next weekend is to paint to room, maybe finalize the name and have daddy put in the closet organizing system. Then I think I can get things rolling. The name is going to be the hardest part. We have 3 names that we love and knowing that this might be our last child it is hard for me to just pick one. We might just wait until we meet him.

Fourth of July

We had a great time at the Bothell Family Fourth today. We went with the Tirouxs and Banks, had a picnic and walked the parade...Hudson rode his motorcycle. When we were done we watched the big parade and Hudson loved the fire trucks and police cars. The weather wasn't so wonderful, but we made the best of it!

I just love this kid!

Painting Pottery

Hudson and his work of art!

Charlotte working on her masterpiece.

Almost finished...

Hudson's final product...I LOVE IT!

Yesterday I took Hudson to paint pottery at Color Me Mine in Mill Creek. We went with Gwen and Charlotte and we were so excited to find out that Alicia and Hanna were going to be there too. We had a table to ourselves and three kiddos on the loose with paint. Hudson painted a train (choo-choo) piggy bank for his baby brother. I had a hard time not helping him to pick colors and to paint it "my way". I decided to let him do it all on his own. That was the best decision. He took his painting very seriously and was extremely proud of the finished product...I was too.

Happy Anniversary

I want to wish my wonderful husband a happy anniversary. Four years ago today we said i do on the beach in Cabo. It was an amazing day and I can't wait to go back next year to celebrate our five year anniversary. Thank you honey for working so hard everyday and for being such a dedicated husband and father. I know I don't say it often enough, but I'm very lucky to have you as a partner in this crazy world. You would do anything for me, your son and for our family. For that I'm forever grateful. XOXO

Third Trimester

I'm in my third trimester...where did the time go? I think I lost track of time trying to keep up with a two year old!

BFF's and BBQ

On Sunday we had a BBQ at Shelbi and Dustin's house for my birthday. I can't even count how many birthdays we have celebrated together. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life. These two ladies and I have been friends since we started High School. We have been through so much together and grown up to be moms together. I love knowing that no matter what happens in life, I will always have these two and all the memories that we have made. Thanks you ladies for 15+ years of friendship!

Happy 2nd Birthday Camryn and Chloe

Check out these cupcakes that Jamie made!

Hudson was so excited to get an Elmo cupcake.

Happy Birthday Girls!

Hudson's little friends Camryn and Chloe turned two last weekend. They had a Sesame Street party and the Elmo fans loved it!

Thursdays with Charlotte

My good friend Gwen and I have decided to take each others kids every other Thursday for the summer. This gives the kids a weekly play date and the mommies a few hours once a week to get something done, rest, run errands or do nothing at all. This past Thursday was our first time with Charlotte at our house. The kids had so much fun with play dough, coloring, playing trains, dancing, eating lunch and just being silly. I enjoyed it too, and I'm looking forward to this Thursday when I'm going to work on baby boys room (in peace).

Disneyland

Hudson dancing his way in the front gate!

Meeting Goofy

The Happiest Place on Earth!

Hudson was so excited to meet his favorite movie star!

Daddy and Hudson on Dumbo

During our vacation to Palm Springs we headed over to Disneyland for the weekend. I wasn't sure how my cautious two year old would react to all the people, noise, rides, and most of all the characters. He loved it! His favorite parts were meeting Lightening Mc Queen and Mater from the movie Cars and the Dumbo ride. My favorite was watching his face take everything in. We went back to our hotel mid day for lunch and a nap. He woke up from his nap and said "more Disneyland", jumped out of bed and jumped in his stroller in our hotel room. Anyone that knows Hudson knows it usually takes him at least 45 min. to wake up. This kid was ready in 45 seconds. When we got back to the hotel late that night he could barely keep his eyes open. As he laid in bed next to me saying, up high (Dumbo ride), choo-choo, boat, go fast, cars, more... I knew that our decision to take Hudson to Disneyland was a good one.

Here are some videos from Disneyland...
