Our Family

We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Palm Springs. Our niece Jenelle graduated from high school and we went down to relax in the sun and celebrate. It was so HOT..and I mean HOT, 110 almost every day. We beat the heat by spending a lot of time in the water. Hudson loved swimming in grandma and grandpa's and aunt Kris and uncle Waco's pools. He had so much fun getting crazy with his cousins and discovered that he LOVES ketchup. Throughout the trip we caught him putting ketchup on everything from his hot dog, cheese stick, chicken and even his watermelon. He also loved riding in grandmas car with the top down and driving the golf cart. I love visiting, but next time we are going to go in the Spring when it's not so hot.

Hudson loved the pool!

Big Boy Bed

Yesterday was Hudson's first day in his new big boy bed. We skipped the toddler bed and went right for the queen size since we had one already. He has been sleeping in a queen size on trips and at John's parents house for awhile so we figured it would work out great. Plus, this gives us the room to lay down with him and read books. I bet I end up falling asleep a lot of the time especially in the next few months. Nap time started out a bit rough with him reminding me over and over that he is a baby NOT a big boy. This started a few months back when took him to our first ultrasound and started telling him that he is big boy and that there is a baby in mommy's belly. After giving him the option of sleeping in his crib (which is set up in the room next to his) he decided that he wanted to sleep in his big boy bed, and he did. He took a nice long nap and woke up very proud. At night I got in with him, we read a few books and he was out. He woke up once with a quiet cry, I went in rubbed his back for a second and he slept until morning. I don't know how to judge, but I consider this a success.

Gymnastics with Daddy!

On Saturday Hudson had a make day for gymnastics. He was so excited because daddy was able to come. Hudson showed him all of his new skills and loved having him there to watch. I wish that our summer weekends weren't so busy. I would have him go every Saturday with daddy.

Love these pictures!

We didn;t have a 4D ultrasound with Hudson. We decided to do one this time and wow...these are so amazing! This is our baby boy at only 22 weeks! I see a little bit of Hudson in him, I think it's the nose. I loved having this done and if we have a third child I will definitely do this again.

T-Ball

John took Hudson shopping last weekend and this is what they came home with. He loves it! I can't wait for next Spring when he can be on a t-ball team!

Water Table

Hudson's grammy and grandpa gave him a water table for his birthday. A few weeks ago it was finally warm enough to use it. He has been playing with it ever since John put it together!

Old Friends...and our Kids!

Hudson, Kamryn, Carter and Stella

Hudson falling in love..

Bubbles!

Tonight I had a wonderful evening catching up with two old friends Hillary and Andrea and our kids all got to play together. Hudson had so much fun running around, catching bubbles, playing with Stella, playing cars and most of all falling in love with Kamryn. Kamryn is Hillary's 10 year old daughter. Hudson just couldn't get enough of her. It was adorable, he even got tears in his eyes saying good-bye to her when we left.

Gymnastics

Hudson started gymnastics at Gymagine http://www.gymagine.com/ and it's a blast! He has only been going for three weeks, and is still trying to figure the whole thing out. We have been practicing his forward rolls at home and he has it down and is so proud of his new skill. A sweet little girl from our neighborhood is in his class and he likes her. I thought he would be the only or one of the only boys in his class, but she is the only girl. We have signed up for another session that runs through June. Stay posted for progress!

Childrens Museum

Yesterday we went to the Seattle Childrens Museum with Emily, and her kids Liam and Clara. I had such a wonderful time catching up with Emily that I didn't take many pictures. I did get a couple of Hudson exploring the fire truck, that was by far his favorite part of the day!

Easter

We had a busy, but fun Easter. My parents were here and we started the morning at church, then to my grandpa's for brunch, home for naps and the then dinner with my parents. Hudson had his first candy and was a crazy man in the afternoon and crashed before his normal bedtime. I now know why I don't think kids should have candy...

14 Weeks

16 Weeks with Hudson

13 weeks now

I'm at 13 weeks and have 7 more weeks until we find out if we need to pull out all of Hudson's old things and wash or go shopping for pink! I'm WAY bigger at 13 weeks now than I was with Hudson at 16 weeks. I actually was almost convinced that I was having twins. Thanks to a very kind ultrasound tech who squeezed me in to her schedule I'm now relived to know there is only one baby in there.
