Park with Olivia

On Monday is was 65 degrees and sunny in Seattle! We headed to the park to meet Shelbi and Olivia. Shelbi and I had a great time relaxing in the sun while I got to snuggle Olivia and Hudson played. What a perfect day! I can't wait for summer.

Last week Hudson and I took a trip to Houston to visit my brother and his wife. I was a little freaked out about a 5 hour flight with Hudson alone, but he did AWESOME! Hudson has flown a lot, but now that he is older, vocal and very mobile I thought it would be tough to keep him in a car seat for 5 hours on a plane. He slept half of the flight both ways. That left him just the right amount of time to eat and watch the Wiggles on his DVD player (that is a must for flights). We stayed at Brett and Melissa's house and Hudson loved playing in the backyard. I think one of the best moments was him playing with the hose while helping Melissa in the garden. We went to the Houston Zoo, ate really good food, enjoyed Brett's smoked ribs, went to an indoor play area, had A LOT of breakfast tacos (my favorite) and loved every minute of our trip. It was sad to leave, Hudson really loves his Aunt and Uncle...I wish they lived closer.

Ultrasound

Our Family + New Baby = 4

Our family of three will become a family of four in September 2010! Hudson is very excited to be a big brother. He went with me to the doctor last week and was able to see his baby brother or sister during the ultrasound. He loves to give the baby kisses (my belly) and we have been talking about his move to a "big boy" bed soon so the new baby can use his crib....EXCITING!

Woodland Park Zoo

Today we went to the Woodland park Zoo with Mandy and Madelyn. We all had a great time and the kiddos were beat when it was time to leave. We saw penguins, lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos and flamingos. Hudson's favorite animal was the giraffe. I have to say they were my favorite too. We also checked out Zoomazium the indoor kids area. Hudson loved the rock climbing wall, slide and drums. We will be back soon for sure!

My Valentine

Hudson's all time favorite song at school is the "freeze" song. We now listen to it at home...a lot.

Valentine's Day Party at Preschool

On Tuesday Hudson's preschool class had a Valentine tea party. It was so fun to see all the kids so excited for their party. They all brought cards for each other and they ate at a beautifully decorated table (it even had flowers). They had heart shaped sandwiches and cheese and cookies. Hudson even painted a Valentine for me!

Hudson loves preschool, but has never enjoyed any of the art activities. John and I decided to get him some art supplies for Christmas to help him figure it all out. He is really into finger painting and coloring now. When he wants to paint he says "pay" and gets his smock and brings it to me. So cute!

Hudson has loved the water since his first bath in the hospital. He has been swimming at lest once a week for the past year. He is in lessons and loves to swim at the public pool near our house. He is a little fish! I can't wait for our trip to Palm Springs this June. He is going to love it!

Best Buddies

Yesterday we had Madelyn here for the morning while Mandy was working. The two of them are hilarious together. They speak their own language and run around like crazy. They made a tent and loved playing in it. They also had fun saying1-2-3 and throwing the ball to each other. They are going to be friends for life!

Village Bean with Olivia

A few days ago we had coffee at the Village Bean with Shelbi and Olivia. Olivia is growing up so fast. She is already 4 months old! She is adorable and such a happy little girl. I only wish that I could snuggle her more...Hudson gets a bit jealous.

Happy Birthday Kaylin!

On Sunday John and I took Hudson to Kaylin's 2nd birthday party at Gymboree. Hudson had a blast! He ran around, jumped, chased bubbles, rolled, balanced and even got a cupcake! John and I loved watching him enjoy the party and the activities. I just got a little sad when I realized that Hudson's 2nd birthday is right around the corner. Life needs to slow down, it's going by too fast!

Sledding in Spokane

Hudson went sledding for the first time in Spokane. We only wish that it would have snowed when Brett and Melissa were here.
