Our friend's Curt and Wendy got married last night. It was a beautiful night and an amazing ceremony. Hudson was able to attend his first wedding and he did great! He slept until the ceremony began and only "talked" a little during the vows. When the reception began he fell back to sleep while John and I talked with friends and ate. Then he woke up for a little dancing with mommy.

Today Hudson's godfather, Brian came over for lunch. Hudson and Brian had a wonderful time being silly and playing together. I was thrilled because Brian brought sushi!

Today Hudson and Madelyn had their first official play date. Hudson talked the whole time and Maddy did a lot of sleeping. They are going to be having a lot more play dates in their future and are going to be the best of friends!

Hudson is working on sitting up and is getting really good at it! He gets so excited that rolls over and laughs. It's so cute to watch his face as he concentrates on balancing.

Today Hudson went to his first birthday party. My good friend Jaime's twin boys turned two. He had so much fun watching the kids play. I have known Jaime since Jr. High. It's so fun to get together with her and her boys now and see how our lives have changed.

My friend Jessica came to visit from Las Vegas. Jessica and I have know each other for about 15 years. People always say we look and act a lot alike. Hudson must agree because he LOVED Jessica!

Four Months

Hudson is four months old today. We were trying to take his four month picture, but he kept rolling over! It was so exciting. This was the first time that he did it over and over. We also had his four month appointment today. He is 16.2 pounds and 26 3/4 inches long! So much has changed in the past month. He is laughing, rolling over, taking big boy baths, napping on a schedule and getting so big! In the next month we will be starting rice cereal. Soon he will be getting teeth!

On Saturday morning Hudson and I went to North Bend to meet Thomas the Train with Wendy and Jonah. Hudson thought that looking out the window of the train was very exciting!

We are thrilled to have baby Madelyn Mae Banks in our lives. She was born on July 19th at 9:41 pm. She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 19 inches long. She is absolutely perfect! Congratulations Shane and Mandy.

Grammy's Visit

Hudson was able to meet his Great Grammy last night. She came up from Portland to visit and we had dinner with her and grandma Corinne. Great Grammy loved singing to Hudson and Hudson loved listening to her!

Nordstrom Sale

I couldn't resist taking Hudson to the first day of the Nordstrom sale. He got his first balloon and he loved looking at all the people. He is such a good shopping buddy!

This past week we took a trip to Spokane to visit my parents. We had a wonderful time and the weather was beautiful! Hudson was a angel on the flight over and was thrilled to see grandma at the airport waiting for him. He went out to lunch, took the sky ride over Spokane falls, took a bath in the big bath tub, played in the new Baby Einstein bouncer, did some shopping downtown, had yummy dinners on the deck, swam in the baby pool and went to grandpa's work! WOW...that's a lot in four days! The highlight of the trip was on the last night...Hudson rolled over for the first time!

Kids Club

Today Hudson went to the kids club at our gym for the first time. I was so nervous to leave, but I knew he would love it. He loves to watch other kids play and be an observer. They have a special area for infants, but they can see the big kids playing. I had a hard time relaxing while working out. I had to make myself go for 30 min. When I came to get him he was happily playing on an activity mat and watching the big kids. We are going to go again on Thursday. I'm going to try 45 min. this time. I would love to be able to go three mornings a week. I guess we will see how Thursday goes.

Happy Fourth of July

For the fourth of July we went to a BBQ at Wendy and Curt's house. It was nice and relaxing, but much different than the fourths of our past. It's funny how events and holidays change when you have children. We were home by 5:00 and Hudson and I were asleep by 8:00.

Maybe next year we will see some fireworks?
