This past week we took a trip to Spokane to visit my parents. We had a wonderful time and the weather was beautiful! Hudson was a angel on the flight over and was thrilled to see grandma at the airport waiting for him. He went out to lunch, took the sky ride over Spokane falls, took a bath in the big bath tub, played in the new Baby Einstein bouncer, did some shopping downtown, had yummy dinners on the deck, swam in the baby pool and went to grandpa's work! WOW...that's a lot in four days! The highlight of the trip was on the last night...Hudson rolled over for the first time!

Kids Club

Today Hudson went to the kids club at our gym for the first time. I was so nervous to leave, but I knew he would love it. He loves to watch other kids play and be an observer. They have a special area for infants, but they can see the big kids playing. I had a hard time relaxing while working out. I had to make myself go for 30 min. When I came to get him he was happily playing on an activity mat and watching the big kids. We are going to go again on Thursday. I'm going to try 45 min. this time. I would love to be able to go three mornings a week. I guess we will see how Thursday goes.

Happy Fourth of July

For the fourth of July we went to a BBQ at Wendy and Curt's house. It was nice and relaxing, but much different than the fourths of our past. It's funny how events and holidays change when you have children. We were home by 5:00 and Hudson and I were asleep by 8:00.

Maybe next year we will see some fireworks?

Did you notice that I'm wearing another hat?

Grandpa and Grandma were here this weekend and we took Hudson for a walk. He was able to sit in his stroller like a big boy. He loved being able to see what was going on. I can't believe how big he is getting. I remember when I thought he would never be able to hold his head up. Now he has full control and can sit assisted for long periods of time. He loves to sit in his Bumbo chair. He feels like such a "big boy".

Since the sun has been shinning in Seattle my mom thinks I need to wear lots of hats. I don't mind too much. This one is her favorite!

Hudson's First Swim

Hudson spent a brief time in the pool. The sun in Houston is so strong. I was worried that he would burn. He loved the time that he had. I can't wait to take him swimming in Washington where I won't have to worry about the sun!

Hudson and I flew to Houston to attend Brett and Melissa's engagement party. I'm so happy that we were able to be there. The weather was a bit hot for us, but it was so nice to see the sun! The party was prefect, it was so nice to meet Melissa's family. We couldn't be happier to welcome Melissa into our family. She is wonderful and perfect for my brother.

On Saturday we went to a BBQ with the families from our mom and baby group. The weather was nice and it was great for all the dads to meet. Hudson loved being outside. He laid on his daddy's lap for over an hour just checking everything out. It was nice for all the mom's to chat while the dad's helped with the babies. Usually when we are all together we are busy with our little ones.

Hudson loves to relax in his swing and look out the window. He will often fall asleep for awhile and it gives me a chance to get a few things done around the house.

Yesterday Hudson and I went to the "mommy and me movie" at Lincoln Square. We went with some friends from our class at Evergreen. To our surprise we ran into cousin Kylisa and her new baby boy!

Getting Bigger!

Today Hudson had his two month appointment. He is now 24 1/2 inches (95th percentile) and 13 pounds 4 ounces (85th percentile). He is growing perfectly! He had to get one shot today and he was so brave. Way braver than mommy. He flinched and cried for about one second then he was back to his smiling and cooing self. He fell asleep in the car on the way home. When we got home he was happy to eat and take a nice long nap with mommy. I'm so proud of him. Hopefully next time I can handle the shots as well as Hudson.

Hudson is working on his grip. He has a GREAT grip when it comes to pulling mommy's hair. We are trying to use it on toys instead before mommy has to cut her hair!

Hudson and I went to see Ivan, Emily and Liam last week. We went for nice walk around Greenlake and lunch. I think Hudson's favorite part was loves from Liam!

Favorite Blankie

Shelbi gave Hudson this cute horse travel blanket for our upcoming trip to Texas. He loves it! He can hold on to it and bring it everywhere. It's the first thing that he has grasped on his own. We are working on his rattle now!

Two Months

Where has the time gone? Hudson is two months old today! He is becoming such a big boy. He is now smiling, laughing, sleeping through the night (my favorite) and recognizing mommy and daddy's voices. I want time to slow down. Before I know it he will be rolling over, crawling then WALKING!

Yesterday we went downtown to enjoy some shopping. We also got to have coffee with Shelbi. Hudson was on his best behavior. We had such a wonderful time. We will definitely be making another trip downtown soon!

Yesterday we had our annual neighborhood garage sale. Jamie and Jeff brought Hailey over to meet Hudson! She was so cute with him. Giving him tickles and playing peek-a-boo! She is going to be such a wonderful big sister.

Today was my first Mother's Day. It was a wonderful day. We spent the morning with my parents. Then we met John's parents at Overlake for brunch. We spent the rest of the day relaxing.
