7 Weeks
Ashley came over to cut mom's hair...I think she just wanted to see me!
My mom REALLY wanted me to smile...not happening.
Look! I can hold my head up!
I love to sit on my boppy and look out the window.
I can't believe that seven weeks have gone by. It all has happened so fast. Hudson is getting so BIG and is so fun to watch. He is now smiling and making all kinds of cute noises. When you watch his face you can tell he is trying to talk. It's so cute! I can't wait to hear what his first word will be (I'm secretly hoping for mommy). He is also taking a bigger interest in his toys and activity mat. He loves to watch the toys that light up. They always make him smile.

Dinner at the Bank's House
Ready to go!

Shane is my new friend.

I liked looking out their window.

They are thinking about Madelyn!
Last week we went to dinner at Shane and Mandy's. Hudson brought a gift for Madelyn, his soon to be girlfriend. We had a nice time seeing Madelyn's room and telling Mandy and Shane all about what to expect the first month. We can't wait to meet Madelyn!
NFL Draft

I'm ready daddy!

Hudson is wearing daddy's H.S football number.

A proud daddy!
Today is an exciting day for daddy. He gave Hudson a bath and dressed him in his Seahawks jersey for the first time. Today is the first day of the 2008 NFL draft! Hudson and daddy are going to hang out and watch the draft while mommy catches up on her scrapbooking!

Yum! I can't wait for REAL food!
Aunt Kris is here to visit and love on Hudson. Hudson is loving all the attention. He even got to open a present. Mommy was thrilled with the book from Aunt Kris. She can't wait to start making food. The way he eats...she will be making A LOT!

A day in the life of Hudson...

Today Hudson is three weeks old. I can't even describe how wonderful it has been to have him in our life for this short amount of time. I sometimes just stare at him for hours while he sleeps. You will notice that I have a lot of pictures of him sleeping. This is mostly because if he is awake he is eating or being changed.
Today we ventured to Target. I know it sounds simple, but it is an all day event for us.

Mommy and Baby Class

All ready to go!
Today Hudson and I had our first mommy and baby class at Evergreen. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be great way to get out of the house. It was nice to be in a room with 10+ other moms who felt tired, overwhelmed and had a baby close to Hudson's age. The class is two hours. The first hour is a guest speaker and the second hour is open discussion. The biggest reason that I want to go to this class is to meet other mom's. Soon the time is going to come when Hudson and I will be able to get out and about more. By then hopefully we will have met some fun mom's with babies Hudson's age to spend some time with.

Week Three Pictures

He loves his swing...

and he LOVES to sleep :)

Thank you Auntie Shelbi for the outfit
I had my first day away from Hudson this Saturday. I went to a baby shower and Hudson stayed with daddy. It went smooth and Hudson was really good. The only problem we encounter was that I only pumped one bottle. He drank it right when I left. I got a text from John while at the shower "need more milk". It was really cute. I did leave the shower a little early to go feed him. I was okay with that, I really missed him!

Hudson is two weeks old

Kisses!

Trying to nap in the crib...not his favorite
Emily and Liam came to meet Hudson
I can't believe that it has been two weeks since Hudson's birth. The time has gone by so fast. He has changed so much in such a short time. He is more alert every day and definitely knows his mommy's voice. I love it because he will be upset and when I walk in the room and say something he instantly calms down. It's such an amazing feeling to be his mom.

Bath Time

Enjoying the warm water

Daddy loves to give Hudson a bath

Warm towel = Happy Hudson
Hudson LOVES to take a bath. When he had his first bath in the hospital he was in heaven. He loves it more each time. His favorite part is when daddy puts his towel in the dryer. He takes it out right before the bath is done. Then we wrap him in the warm towel and he couldn't be happier.
