Week Three Pictures

He loves his swing...

and he LOVES to sleep :)

Thank you Auntie Shelbi for the outfit

I had my first day away from Hudson this Saturday. I went to a baby shower and Hudson stayed with daddy. It went smooth and Hudson was really good. The only problem we encounter was that I only pumped one bottle. He drank it right when I left. I got a text from John while at the shower "need more milk". It was really cute. I did leave the shower a little early to go feed him. I was okay with that, I really missed him!

Hudson is two weeks old

Kisses!

Trying to nap in the crib...not his favorite

Emily and Liam came to meet Hudson

I can't believe that it has been two weeks since Hudson's birth. The time has gone by so fast. He has changed so much in such a short time. He is more alert every day and definitely knows his mommy's voice. I love it because he will be upset and when I walk in the room and say something he instantly calms down. It's such an amazing feeling to be his mom.

Bath Time

Enjoying the warm water

Daddy loves to give Hudson a bath

Warm towel = Happy Hudson

Hudson LOVES to take a bath. When he had his first bath in the hospital he was in heaven. He loves it more each time. His favorite part is when daddy puts his towel in the dryer. He takes it out right before the bath is done. Then we wrap him in the warm towel and he couldn't be happier.

Hudson's First Week

Hudson relaxing....

Hudson's First Easter

Bouncer Time

Cuddling with daddy

Hudson's first week has been fun for all of us. He is so easy going and happy. We feel so blessed to have this sweet boy in our lives. He sleeps most of the day for three or four hours at a time. When he's not sleeping he is eating...and this boy can EAT. He has already gained back most his birth weight. At the postpartum appointment the nurse was amazed by his weight and his feeding schedule. It's a lot of work...but so rewarding.

Due Date Update

Today is my due date and as of right now...no Hudson. I went to the doctor this afternoon and she told me that I am dilated 1.5 centimeters. If I don't go into labor naturally by Tuesday the 25th I will be induced starting at 8:00 am. I really hope that I don't make it that far. I don't mind being induced, I just want to meet my BABY NOW! The good news is that my doctor is the one on call all weekend. So if Hudson decides to come over the weekend she will be the one to deliver him.

Other than that I'm trying to rest and relax. I will keep you all posted if anything changes.

Pray for contractions!

One more week...

I have one more week until my due date. I can't believe it! I feel like time has gone by so fast. I also feel like the last two weeks were as long as the first eight months. Still I loved being pregnant! I found it to be the most amazing experience. I have no problem saying that I will do this again. Not right away though :).
We are packed and ready for the hospital. Most likely the next posting will be pictures from there!

38 Weeks

My parents were here for the weekend and my dad is flying home today. He will fly back as soon as I go into labor. My mom will be staying with us for about a month. It all depends on when Hudson comes. Then the plan is for Hudson and I to go back to Spokane with her for a few days. I feel so lucky to have such supportive parents that love to help in any way.
John's parents will also be coming home from Palm Springs on the 19th (unless Hudson arrives before). We are hoping to all celebrate Easter together as a family. Yes...Hudson has an Easter basket waiting for him...just in case he's here.

For the next week I plan to enjoy time with my mom and relax. We will be pampering ourselves with manicures, pedicures, massages and shopping...my last chance for a long time.

I'll try to keep you all updated and hopefully soon I will be posting pictures of HUDSON!

XOXO

Hudson's Room

Hudson's room is so close to being done. I'm only waiting on the cushions for his glider. I hope they get here soon...since he will be here soon. His room turned out exactly how I wanted it. It's soft and relaxing, but still a little boys room. I have to give BIG thank you to my mom. She did most of the work. I can't wait to bring him home!

Big Belly!

Wow! My belly is getting so big! It's getting really difficult to do simple things like put on shoes, shave my legs and clean the house. Having this month off before Hudson comes is such a blessing. I don't know how I would work full time and get everything done. I thought that I would get board...but I'm always busy. I've been enjoying time with friends for lunch, shopping and visitors to see Hudson's room. I also see the doctor once a week. It's so strange to have only three more appointments. I remember booking them and thinking there were so many! Hopefully I will get to go to all three of them. I would like him to wait until his due date or close to it. No matter when he comes it's going to be one of the most amazing days of my life.

Belly at 35 Weeks

Here is my belly at 35 weeks. Many people have asked why I haven't posted any belly shots lately...so here it is! It's such a strange feeling to have this big belly. The wierdest part is, I love it! I really think that I will miss being pregnant. It's such an amazing feeling. I love watching my belly grow, feeling him move, knowing that he is with me all the time and most of all dreaming about what he will be like.

Thank you to everyone who has been checking on me. I feel blessed to have so many amazing friends!

One more month!

I can't believe it, I only have four more weeks! I went to the doctor today and she said that everything looks right on schedule. Hudson is head down and about 5 1/2 pounds right now. He should gain another 2 pounds before birth. She thinks he will be on time or early. I was happy to hear that. If he goes longer than one week overdue she will induce. I really don't want to be induced.

This week I plan to rest, read, and finish Hudson's room. As soon as the room is complete I will post pictures.

35 Weeks

Where has the time gone? I only have 5 more weeks (or less) until I get to meet the little man that will own my heart (he can share with John). I feel like just yesterday I began writing this blog. Now I am so glad that I did. It has been a great way to stop and think about each change and update many friends and family. Right now I'm feeling excited and nervous about the next few weeks. It seems like I need to be ready now, he could come early. Starting next week I see my doctor once a week. I'm hoping that she can give me her opinion on how big he might be and if she thinks that he could come early. Those who know me well know how I love to plan EVERYTHING. This waiting game is going to kill me.

Last day of work...

I thought that I would be excited to be done working. That isn't the case. I am excited to get some much needed rest and to stay off my (swollen) feet. Though as I sit here and procrastinate getting ready to go today I don't feel excited. I feel sad to be leaving my "other family". The Podolsky's have become a big part of my life. I know that as soon as I'm home a few days and get into my new routine I will be fine. I just find it interesting that I'm not excited to be done.

Baby Shower

The fun centerpiece

Grandma Corinne, me and Grandma (my mom)

This past weekend I had a wonderful shower hosted by two close friends of John's mom and my sister in law Kris. It was so fun to see everyone and spend time with family. Kris and I spent the rest of the weekend with our cousins scrapbooking (thank you Trisha). I made Hudson's baby book and I can't wait to add more to it. It was the perfect weekend!

Maternity Pictures

My belly at 33 weeks

Today we had maternity pictures taken. I had no idea what to expect...but it was so much fun! I wasn't sure that this was something that I wanted to do, until I got there. As soon as we started taking pictures I realized how wonderful it will be to have these forever. They are pictures of a time that we will never have again. Becoming parents for the first time is a feeling that I never want to forget.

I think that John loved it as much as I did. We had a tough time picking the ones that we wanted to purchase. This was one of my favorites!

10 More Weeks!

30 weeks!

I can't believe how fast the past six months have gone by. I'm so excited to get to the end, but I also LOVE being pregnant. I feel very lucky, have felt pretty good for most of my pregnancy. Besides not having a lot of energy I have felt great! I love looking back at the pictures that John has taken each week. Lately I feel like I look bigger each day. Also, Hudson is moving around a lot and I can feel it more than ever. I love it...except when I'm trying to sleep.

His bedding finally came in and is on his crib. It's perfect, I often stand in there and just think about him and imagine seeing him sleeping peacefully in his bed. As soon as his room is finished I will post some pictures.

Happy New Year

New Years Eve in Seattle

We had a quiet and relaxing new years with good friends. This was the first year that we didn't go downtown and have a big night out. It made me realize how much has changed over the past few years and how much is about to change REALLY soon. This year it was difficult for me to stay awake for midnight. Next year Hudson will be here and that is all that matters.

Merry Christmas!

Opening Hudson's presents from Santa (Grandma)
Daddy's first gift from Hudson
We had a wonderful Christmas and can't wait for next year! Hudson is definitely the most spoiled unborn child I know. On Christmas morning his stocking was full and he had presents under the tree. Hudson gave his daddy some pajamas that say I love Dad. I think that was one of John's favorite gifts this year. Hudson also received his first football in his stocking. Thank you Santa...you know who you are.

Palm Springs

This weekend we went to Palm Springs to celebrate Kris's 40th birthday. It was great to see the whole Muse family. Hudson cooperated (finally) and kicked for Aunt Kris and his cousins Britni and Jenelle. We can't wait for our next visit...Hudson will be able to be able to meet his Uncle Waco, Aunt Kris and cousins Britni, Dave, Jenelle and Damon. Our trip was short but so worth it!

25 weeks

We finally had some time to take a picture today. Usually by the time we are both home at night I don't feel like I should have my pictures taken. I had the day off of work today and John came home early. So here I am at 25 weeks and feeling BIG. I feel pretty good most of the time. I'm just REALLY emotional. I was an emotional person before I was pregnant...so you can only imagine...poor John. He is doing such a wonderful job of supporting (dealing) with me. No matter how crazy I get, he tells me that I'm wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better husband or father for Hudson.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

We have been so busy the past week I haven't taken any pictures of my ever growing belly. I promise to take some this week. We have been decorating for Christmas, putting up our tree and my favorite thing...hanging Hudson's stocking. Who says that you can't spoil an unborn child? Personally, I think it's the perfect excuse to go shopping!

We have also been working on Hudson's room. When I say we, I mean my mom and John. They painted last week and put all the furniture together. We ordered the bedding and it won't be here for 8 weeks! I don't know if I can wait that long. I can't wait to see it all put together. Sometimes I sit in his room and think about what life is going to be like three months from now. The holidays are going to be so different next year.

23 Weeks

Today was Thanksgiving and we had quite a long day. We spent the morning at home. Then we were off to lunch at my grandpa's and straight to dinner at John's parents. It was wonderful to be with family, but I'm ready for bed. I love this time of year, the decorations, dinners, parties, and the overall cheerfulness. I can't wait to have Hudson and start our own family traditions. I especially can't wait to take him to see Santa!

Yesterday we put up our Christmas lights and decorated for Christmas. It was so exciting to hang THREE stockings this year (yes, we already have one for Hudson). I can't wait for next Christmas when Hudson will be here and crawling around.

Tomorrow John and I are going to the Nutcracker and beginning our holiday season!

Sunday we will finsh the weekend off by going with Shelbi and Dustin to get our Christmas tree.

Tis the season!

Happy Birthday John!

Monday was John's birthday and I think that he received the best gift ever from his brother Greg. Greg had this jersey made with John's high school football number. I have to admit that I cried when I saw it. The best part is that he got it in two sizes and calculated Hudson's size/age for the next two seasons! Now that is impressive.

21 weeks

The past week has been fun and full of shopping and planning for Hudson. My parents were here last weekend and we got the furniture ready. I found the perfect fabric and I'm having the bedding made. I can't wait to see it in the room. Over Thanksgiving I hope to pick out the paint and get the room started.

I think that John and I both feel more connected now that we know he's a boy and we have a name. I love talking about him and he is constantly reminding me that he is here. I can feel him moving around like crazy. He definitely has a lot of energy. I can't wait to meet him!
